5 Exøtic Artists

July 20, 2015 Justin Gallegos

Sean Nicholas Savage: The ghost of Montreal is sultry, silky and strange. Sometime SNS sounds like Japanese-style karaoke and other times he feels like an international version of Prince. It’s always a pleasure either way. “Miracles happen everyday.” - SNS.

Blood Orange: The 80s had Prince. The 90s had Michael Jackson. We have Dev Hynes a.k.a. Blood Orange. Hynes is seductive, confrontational, and true.

Connan Mockasin: Mockasin is the sweetest and funkiest thing to come out of New Zealand in the last five years. His slinky guitar, Andy Warhol-esque looks, and kooky romancing has won us over.

Homeshake: There’s not a lot we can say about Homeshake. He usually doesn’t have much to say either, but that’s okay ‘cause his cyber pop-funk-R&B hybrid magic does all the talking necessary.
